Job Description

La Vaquita represents the leading Hispanic Cheese retail brand in Texas with recent expansion in the Southwest and nationally in foodservice. The Sr. Associate Marketing Manager, La Vaquita, will help drive demand for Hispanic through consumer and customer understanding and programming across a set of brands, including La Vaquita and Mama Julia, in addition to control brands. Hispanic Dairy is a core priority for the business with a recent acquisition augmenting the focus, and the Sr. Associate Marketing Manager will help support key understanding of consumers and customers to support GTM plan optimization and execution. Accountable for helping to deliver the overall business goals, this position supports the cross-functional team across consumer/customer understanding and analysis, communications program management, budget tracking, packaging design and approvals, and agency management.

The role includes:

  • Lead market analysis and play active role in GTM optimization against long-term strategy to grow both retail and foodservice opportunities
  • Lead shopper marketing programming at key accounts from program alignment to creative delivery to reporting. Where possible, partner with B2B team to share effective programming.
  • Partner cross-functionally with vice president of business unit, sales, supply chain, and finance to deliver topline and bottom-line business growth through thorough understanding and presentation of Hispanic Dairy segment by market and product.
  • Integrate national level/regional marketing programs to sync up with retailer-specific events
  • Support ongoing social programming through daily agency oversight including creative delivery, calendar management, and optimization recommendations.
  • Play a key role in line extensions and other innovation projects by managing packaging design, approvals, and timelines
  • Manage marketing budget from recommendation through tracking
  • Provide regular analysis and recommendations to guide business priorities and marketing recommendations across various KPIs

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience (1+ in FMCG CPG organization)
  • Core understanding of US retail environment
  • Strong data analysis and presentation experience translating data points into implications/recommendations
  • Circana/Nielsen proficiency
  • Ability to influence management, lead and support cross-functional teams, and handle multiple projects and brands
  • Strong time management skills and work ethic, ability to prioritize and oversee multiple initiatives and business support functions
  • Creative problem diagnosis and problem solving through data mining and insight development
  • Spanish language fluency
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • BA., MBA preferred
