Your new role

As a Senior Associate in Investment & Fixed Asset accounting, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring financial accuracy and compliance across Novo Nordisk's global operations. Your work will directly support the financial foundation that enables our mission to defeat serious chronic diseases.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing end-to-end Fixed Asset accounting, from Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) creation through to asset lifecycle management and reconciliation
  • Processing Investment Applications, approving WBS creation, managing asset transfers, and handling scrapping/sales of assets in SAP
  • Executing monthly settlement and depreciation runs, preparing investment reports and internal management reports
  • Supporting SARBOX audit requirements and maintaining robust accounting documentation
  • Driving automation initiatives and managing RPA solutions to enhance team efficiency
  • Partnering with affiliates and Lines of Business to resolve queries and provide expert guidance
  • Meeting defined KPIs at both process and individual levels while identifying value-adding improvements

You will be joining our Finance Global Business Services (GBS) team in Bangalore. Established in 2007, Finance GBS is responsible for supporting various finance functions for Novo Nordisk globally. Commercial Analytics, which is part of Finance GBS, was founded in 2013 with the goal of providing best-in-class analytical services and insights to the global organization. Our team is dedicated to delivering superior service to our stakeholders and adding value through standardization and efficiency

Your skills & qualifications

We're looking for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, global environment and takes pride in delivering accuracy and excellence. You'll bring with you:

  • Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent qualification with a strong academic track record
  • 5-8 years of experience in Record to Report (R2R) or Fixed Asset processes
  • Hands-on experience working with SAP, particularly in Fixed Assets and General Ledger accounting
  • Strong knowledge of accounting documentation and Sarbanes-Oxley (SARBOX) Act, with audit handling experience
  • Practical understanding of how accounting concepts translate into daily processes and activities
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships
  • Highly motivated, flexible mindset with a strong work ethic and sense of responsibility
