Job Description

HR Business Partners perform a specialized type of HR work focused on HR consulting to the business including:

•HR consulting and coaching (e.g., working with business leaders to solve significant people and cultural issues, provides expertise in technical and regulatory aspects of employment including hiring, termination, performance management, rewards, etc.)

•Enabling business change (e.g., supporting the talent aspects of organization structure changes, talent integration related to mergers & acquisitions, etc.)

•HR program advocacy (e.g., communicating the business value of HR initiatives, managing HR program roll out to minimize business disruption, etc.)

•Partnering with the business and talent management/staffing and recruiting colleagues on key talent initiatives (e.g., workforce planning, hi-potential employee development, succession planning, etc.)
• Drive business success by mentoring and advising teams on associate experience initiatives, such as the Associate Experience Dashboard and recognition programs.
• Ensure timely execution of all people-related processes.
• Support diagnostic intervention and problem resolution strategies to provide HR perspectives on business issues.
• Apply workforce analytics and insights to enhance people and workforce management.

Job Purpose

We are seeking a Junior HR Business Partner to join our dynamic HR team.

This role will support the HR function in driving strategic initiatives, improving employee engagement, and helping to align HR processes with business goals. The HR Specialist will work closely with senior HR leaders and various business units to provide HR support and guidance. This is a great opportunity for an individual early in their HR career to develop and grow professionally in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

This position partners with managers, associates and Human Resources Business Partners to deliver core HR services. Ensures an optimal management of HR processes and associate experience, with a focus on people and culture.

Implements strategic initiatives and other enterprise-wide initiatives and HR programs to support Alcon associates, including compensation, performance, employee relations and engagement, culture, and talent development initiatives.

This role requires close coordination with remote managers and the ability to work in shifts as needed.

Major Activities

  • Act as a trusted HR partner supporting managers and associates on HR-related matters.
  • Collaborate with HR COEs and HR Services to deliver HR solutions and service excellence.
  • Support the implementation of global and regional HR initiatives, including performance management, employee relations, engagement, and talent development.
  • Provide guidance to managers and associates on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Organize quarterly connects with People leaders and facilitate focus group discussions.
  • Perform basic attrition analysis and consult with management on retention strategies.
  • Support employee relations by addressing queries and grievances, escalating complex cases to senior HRBP or Legal teams.
  • Leverage HR analytics to generate insights that drive informed decision-making.
  • Assist in fostering a positive work culture by supporting engagement and recognition programs.
  • Work closely with remote managers providing support as required on HR matters.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal HR policies.

Ideal Background

Education (minimum/desirable):

MBA – in HR (Preferred) or Equivalent

Languages:

English

Experience/Professional requirement:

2-5 years of work experience in Human Resources( preferably as HRBP)

GCC experience preferred

Additional:

- Excellent communication skills.

- This role follows a standard 5-day work week and general day shift. Given the nature of the role and global stakeholder interactions, there may be occasional requirements to work a later shift (around 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM), generally limited to a few days each month.

- Moderate level travel (3-4 times in a year for short durations)
