Job Description

As an Experience Design Associate at JPMorganChase, you will play a crucial role within the Commercial & Investment Bank by conceptualizing, structuring, and detailing our Payments offerings within the context of a broader user journey, specifically while supporting a book of work focused on user authentication and management. Leveraging your developing knowledge of design and research practices, collaborate with senior UX leads to execute tasks and projects that align with established policies and procedures, while also partnering with Product Managers and Engineers. Your work will have a direct impact on mid-sized features or small collections of features within a corporate payments space, ensuring a seamless and inclusive user experience. Contribute to the team’s decision-making process and help drive customer-centric innovation strategies. At the Associate level, demonstrate your proficiency in core experience design craft skills, while continuously developing your expertise in these and other design-focused areas.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to the design and development of user experiences for mid-sized features or small collections of features and ensure alignment with user needs and business goals.
  • Advocate for the users’ perspective when collaborating with Product Managers and Engineers to plan roadmaps, gather requirements, and structure the work.
  • Apply interaction design principles to create seamless and engaging user flows and interactions across multiple platforms, such as web, mobile, and branch.
  • Participate in iterative design processes; incorporate user feedback and insights to improve the overall user experience.
  • Support the implementation of inclusive design practices, taking into consideration diverse backgrounds and abilities to create accessible and user-friendly experiences.
  • Help gather information on market trends, user research studies, and user behavior analyses to inform design decisions and contribute to the team’s strategic thinking.
  • Present work, connecting design decisions to desired business impact, adhering to an expected standard of quality.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS

  • 2+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in experience design or a related UX discipline within the digital product space.
  • Previous experience in visual design and interaction principles, with a focus on creating aesthetically appealing and functional digital experiences.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in storyboarding, wireframing, and prototyping to effectively communicate and refine design concepts.
  • Familiarity with accessibility guidelines, inclusive design practices, and assistive technologies to ensure a diverse and inclusive user experience.
  • Previous exposure to industry-standard design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Suite) and general understanding or personal experience leveraging AI tools (GitHub Copilot, VS Code, Figma Make).
