Principal responsibilities
- Act as a key engagement lead and point of contact for AI CoE initiatives across lines of business, technology teams, and senior stakeholder groups.
- Establish engagement playbooks, intake processes, prioritisation approaches, governance forums, and repeatable operating models to accelerate AI opportunity discovery and delivery.
- Develop and manage a strong pipeline of prioritised, well defined AI use cases with clear business sponsorship, success measures, delivery feasibility, and expected outcomes.
- Translate business vision into requirements by leading analysis of business challenges, identifying opportunities, and shaping clear AI problem statements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define business objectives, project scope, delivery roadmap, adoption approach, and measurable value outcomes.
- Partner with product owners, engineers, data scientists, platform teams, and technology delivery teams to drive execution from ideation through production delivery and adoption.
- Define and track key performance indicators covering data pipeline progress, model quality, deployment readiness, user adoption, operational impact, and business value.
- Identify technical, delivery, governance, stakeholder, and programme risks early, and lead mitigation strategies to keep initiatives on track.
- Ensure appropriate transparency and reporting to the Sponsoring Steering Committee, Project Working Group, and related business, technology, risk, and governance stakeholders.
- Foster a high engagement team culture focused on inclusive leadership, quality delivery, strong followership, talent development, cross functional collaboration, and outcomes that exceed user expectations.
Requirements
- 10+ years of seasoned working experience in the financial industry, with a strong programme management, project management, product leadership, consulting, transformation, or engagement leadership background.
- Significant experience delivering software, data intensive, AI, analytics, digital transformation, platform, or enterprise technology initiatives in a large organisation.
- Strong understanding of banking domain knowledge, financial services operating models, enterprise controls, risk management, compliance expectations, and technology governance.
- Proven ability to engage senior business and technology stakeholders, build trusted relationships, clarify ambiguous needs, and align diverse groups around shared priorities.
- Experience translating business problems into structured requirements, AI opportunity statements, delivery roadmaps, success metrics, and governance ready proposals.
- Strong programme and delivery management capability, including planning, prioritisation, dependency management, risk management, KPI tracking, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
- Familiarity with cloud based data / AI platforms and the AI / ML lifecycle, including data collection, model training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and adoption.
- Practical experience with enterprise system integration, migration, implementation, or large scale technology change, ideally including AI applications in financial services.
- Inclusive leadership style with experience developing talent, coaching or mentoring technology teams, making difficult decisions, and bringing cross functional teams together to achieve ambitious outcomes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex topics clearly to senior leadership, governance forums, delivery teams, and non technical stakeholders.
