Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

To perform X-ray screening of Hold baggage as per the directions of Bureau of Civil Aviation Security in order to prevent any Dangerous Goods / Prohibited / Restricted Goods in Registered baggage to prevent any unlawful interface with Aviation Security.

Key Performance Indicators
To conduct Combined Test Piece (CTP), Operational Test Case (OTC) and Image Quality (IQ) tests on X-ray Baggage Inspection System (XBIS), Explosive Detection Tomography System (EDtS) and Computed Tomography X-ray machines.
•No of pre-operational checks & tests conducted

•Prescribed standards vs actual

•No. of observations by Supervisor during random CTP tests.
To Screen Hold Baggage at Level 2, Level 3, SOOG, OOG, VIP/GA Fallback 15 & 16 locations and other screening points.
•TIP Record.

•Performance rate during dummy checks.

•Number of detections.
To conduct ETD test and physical check of Hold Baggage.
•Number of detections.
To comply with laid down SOPs in respect of Inline Hold Baggage Screening.
•Compliance with SOPs.

•Number of non-compliance during audits/ audit observations.
Timely Documentation and maintenance of mandatory records Physically / Electronically.
•Number of Records / documents maintained.

•Number of non-compliance.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate in any discipline, qualified in Basic AVSEC & DG Awareness Course preferably a Screener.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

Should have worked in Aviation Security with minimum 01 to 03 years of service except recruitment done from GMRVF (Post basic security training).
