Position SummaryThe Art Director-Photography defines, owns, and elevates the photographic identity of Ann Sacks’ growing direct-to-consumer tile brand. This role is the steward of our photographic expression across every customer touchpoint, from product pages and lifestyle photography to campaigns, social media, email, PR, advertising, retail, and sales materials.Equal parts tastemaker, creative strategist, and production leader, the ideal candidate has exceptional design sensibility, deep knowledge of interior design, and a strong understanding of how compelling creative drives both brand affinity and eCommerce performance. They have experience building premium lifestyle brands, understand how customers engage with image-based content across channels, and know how to create imagery that is both aspirational and commercially effective. And they know how to run and lead photo shoots, as well as post-production. This role will establish and evolve our premium aesthetic, lead all photography, and render direction, and ensure every visual asset consistently reflects our brand while supporting business objectives.Essential Functions Brand & Creative LeadershipOwn the brand's photographic and image-based visual expression across all channels, ensuring a cohesive, premium aesthetic at every customer touchpoint.Define, document, and continually evolve the brand's visual identity, photography standards, styling principles, and creative style guides.Develop seasonal creative concepts and campaign visual direction that support both brand and commercial objectives.Create creative briefs that translate marketing, merchandising, and product strategies into compelling visual storytelling.Lead creative reviews and approvals for photography, rendered imagery, and related visual assets, ensuring alignment with brand standards.Serve as the creative authority for photography and visual storytelling, balancing brand consistency with channel-specific needs.Photography & ProductionLead all lifestyle photography productions from concept through final delivery.Own shoot planning, budgets, timelines, logistics, locations, shot lists, casting, and production schedules.Art direct photographers, stylists, prop stylists, hair and makeup artists, and production teams during shoots.Oversee product detail (PDP) photography, ensuring imagery accurately represents products while supporting conversion and maintaining a consistent visual standard.Art directs CGI and render production, partnering with external render vendors to achieve realistic, premium imagery.Guide image selection, editing, retouching, color correction, and final asset approvals.Vendor & Asset ManagementBuild and manage relationships with photographers, stylists, agencies, freelance creatives, and render partners.Negotiate and manage photography licensing agreements, usage rights, and renewals.Oversee the organization's Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, ensuring assets are properly tagged, organized, versioned, and easily accessible.Develop scalable workflows for asset management, approvals, and distribution across teams.Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner closely with Marketing, Merchandising, Product Development, and PR teams to develop content that supports launches, campaigns, and ongoing business priorities.Collaborate on seasonal content planning and marketing calendars.Balance creative excellence with business objectives, timelines, and budgets.Ensure imagery supports the unique needs of every channel, including:eCommerce product pages (PDPs) Website and landing pages Email marketing Organic and paid social media Digital advertising Public relations and editorial outreach Print collateral Sales and retailer support materials Trade shows and events

Skills/Requirements

Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of experience in art direction, photography direction, creative production, or related creative leadership roles within a DTC, eCommerce, lifestyle, home, or luxury brand. Exceptional portfolio demonstrating expertise in lifestyle photography, visual storytelling, and brand building. Strong understanding of direct-to-consumer marketing and eCommerce creative best practices. Deep appreciation for interior design, architecture, home furnishings, or luxury home products, with an instinct for trends, styling, and materiality. Proven experience leading photo shoots from concept through execution. Experience art directing CGI/render production. Experience managing photographers, stylists, agencies, freelancers, and other creative vendors. Knowledge of photography licensing, image rights, and usage agreements. Experience managing Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems and creative asset libraries. Outstanding visual judgment with a meticulous eye for composition, lighting, color, styling, and detail. Excellent project management and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience within the tile, flooring, home furnishings, interior design, architecture, or building materials industries. Experience supporting high-growth DTC and omnichannel brands. Familiarity with Shopify or similar eCommerce platforms. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Digital Asset Management platforms. Working Conditions The office environment is climate controlled and generally quiet-to-moderate in noise level; intermittent background noise may be present due to proximity to manufacturing operations. This means you’ll have access to your applicable benefit programs from your first day on the job, with no waiting period. The salary range for this position is $79,900 - $121,900. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation.
