Job Title Sr. Arena Maintenance

Wage $22.87 (2026)

Reports To Recreation Complex Services Supervisor

Department Community Services

Location Recreation Complex, as assigned

Hours Part Time, Up to 24 hours per week; includes day, afternoon, evening and

weekend hours

Other This posting is for an existing, currently open position within Community Services. Travel throughout the City of Kawartha Lakes in accordance with job requirements and work locations may vary.

• Assist in the operation and maintenance of community centres and arenas
• Ice re-surfacing and maintenance
• Cleaning of washrooms and building
• Assist in the collection of facility revenue
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Skills/ Education Required

• Previous experience in arenas/ice operations or willingness and ability to learn
• Mechanical aptitude
• Experience with preventive maintenance of various types of equipment preferred
• Excellent customer-service, effective oral communication and strong interpersonal skills to deal with members of the public and staff
• First Aid and CPR preferred
• Possess and maintain a valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s Licence
• Upon a conditional offer of employment, a Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Search, will be required
