Job Description

About the role and team

FinTech is part of the CFO's organization and is responsible for innovating and building Financial Products & Systems. Our DNA is customer obsession, high-quality products, teamwork, and transparency. We provide systems for compliance, data reliability, and audit, ensuring timely availability of business-critical data.

This role has two halves, split roughly evenly:

  1. Automation delivery (~50%): lead a 15-20-member external vendor team that builds and supports our RPA (robotic process automation) bots.
  2. System controls & SaaS security (~50%): keep our financial systems, including cloud ERPs such as Oracle Fusion, Coupa, etc secure, well-controlled, and SOX-compliant.

The two halves belong together. Automation is how we turn manual controls into automated, continuous ones. Strong controls are what make our bots safe to run on financial systems.

What you’ll do

Lead Automation Delivery

  • Manage and mentor a 15-20 person vendor team across development and production support.
  • Set development standards, review designs, and sign off on solutions before they go live.
  • Own bot reliability: SLAs, escalations for critical failures, and root-cause fixes so problems don't repeat.
  • Run the vendor relationship: scope, staffing, performance scorecards, and quarterly reviews.
  • Choose the right tool for each job. Use an API or native integration where it will outlast a screen-based bot.
  • Manage the MS Power Automate Platform, deployment pipelines, and licensing.

SaaS ERP Security & Identity Management

  • Design and maintain user roles and access in FinTech applications and cloud ERPs (Oracle Fusion, Oracle EPM Cloud, Coupa), including role-based access (RBAC), so each person has only the access they need.
  • Find and fix segregation-of-duties (SoD) conflicts, including conflicts that span two apps.
  • Govern single sign-on, MFA, user provisioning and de-provisioning, access requests, access certifications, and privileged/emergency admin access (PAM).
  • Track every system and bot account: who owns it, what it can access, and when its credentials rotate.
  • Work with the IAM team on the integrations, APIs, workflows, rules, and reporting that FinTech applications need.
  • Review vendor SOC reports and make sure we run the controls each vendor expects from us.
  • Check each quarterly vendor release for security and control impact before it goes live, and make sure security is built into the development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Monitor tenant configuration and audit logs for risky changes, and lead efforts to strengthen the overall security of FinTech applications.

Own SOX & System Controls

  • Manage IT general and application controls: user access reviews, change management, SoD, and SDLC.
  • Act as the main point of contact for SOX audits of FinTech applications, including evidence, walkthroughs, and auditor questions.
  • Track control deficiencies through to remediation, working with Financial Risk Management.
  • Partner with the IAM team on access requests, certifications, and role-based access.

Automate Controls

  • Identify manual controls that can be automated, starting with high-risk, repetitive ones, and deliver them through the RPA team.
  • Explore AI for anomaly detection and continuous control monitoring.

Basic Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience, including 3+ years leading teams of 15 or more. Experience leading external vendor teams is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Automate (Desktop and Cloud). Exposure to UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism is a plus.
  • Proven experience with SOX audits, IT controls, and identity & access management.
  • Hands-on security experience with a cloud ERP. Oracle Fusion is preferred; SAP, Workday, or NetSuite are also considered.
  • Functional knowledge of Oracle EBS R12 and/or Oracle Fusion Financials.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, APIs, and scripting (Python or PowerShell).
  • Clear communication with finance, audit, and technical stakeholders. Able to hold a vendor accountable while keeping the relationship strong.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SailPoint, Okta, Coupa, Oracle EPM Cloud, Oracle Integration Cloud, or access-governance tools.
  • Experience with an on-premise to cloud ERP migration.
  • Exposure to AI-driven automation (Copilot Studio, AI Builder, document processing).
  • Certifications: CISA, CRISC, CISSP, CISM, CCSP, PL-500, PL-600, or ITIL.
