Data Scientist
The Data Scientist will support the Product Engagement Booster, a business-facing analytics capability designed to identify where to focus engagement efforts, which members to engage, and which programs drive measurable value and ROI. This role sits at the intersection of data science, product ownership, and execution enablement, with a strong emphasis on driving personalized member utilization where it matters most.
Key Responsibilities
Opportunity Sizing & Segmentation
- Conduct population sizing and opportunity assessments to identify high-value member segments.
- Use GCP BigQuery to create scalable cohorts, metrics, and benchmarks.
- Partner with stakeholders to define priority populations and value drivers.
Targeting Strategy & Execution Enablement
- Develop predictive models and analytical frameworks in Python to guide targeting and prioritization.
- Translate insights into campaign-ready hypotheses executable in platforms
- Enable personalized outreach aligned to member needs and engagement potential.
Measurement, Causal Inference & ROI
- Evaluate campaign effectiveness using experimental and causal methods (A/B testing, lift analysis).
- Separate true incremental impact from selection bias or noise.
- Communicate results clearly, distinguishing statistically significant vs. directional findings.
Product Ownership & Stakeholder Management
- Own and prioritize the analytics/product backlog.
- Define requirements, success metrics, and acceptance criteria.
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure insights translate into measurable business outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 4+ years of Strong background in data science, analytics, or decision science.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, GCP BigQuery and Python.
- Experience with experimentation, causal inference, and impact measurement.
- Ability to translate analytical insights into actionable product or campaign strategies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience enabling execution in engagement
- Familiarity with healthcare or member engagement analytics.
Success Criteria (6–12 Months)
- Deliver repeatable opportunity sizing and segmentation frameworks.
- Enable personalized targeting strategies adopted by execution teams.
- Establish credible ROI and impact narratives trusted by senior leadership.
