Job Description

What you’ll do:

"The Marketing Analytics Technology, Sr. Analyst provides enterprise ownership and hands on implementation for digital data collection across Eaton’s global digital ecosystem. This role partners with Marketing Technology product owners, Analytics & Insights, and digital delivery teams to define analytics requirements, govern data collection standards, and design, build, and maintain scalable analytics implementations that support accurate reporting and marketing activation.

The role combines functional leadership—including platform ownership, data governance, and enablement—with technical execution, such as JavaScript based tagging, data layer design, debugging, and analytics release deployment. Acting as both strategist and builder, the role ensures Eaton’s digital analytics capability is compliant, reliable, and scalable while enabling teams across the organization to confidently use data to drive decision making and continuous improvement.

This role requires strong hands‑on expertise in JavaScript‑based analytics implementation, tag management systems, and consent‑aware data collection, with the ability to design, debug, and maintain scalable measurement solutions across enterprise digital experiences."

"Analytics Platform Ownership & Governance
Own and manage enterprise analytics, tagging, consent, and listening platforms including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Adobe Tags, Microsoft Clarity, Looker Studio, OneTrust, and related tools.
Define, maintain, and enforce approved analytics tagging standards and data collection frameworks across Eaton digital experiences.
Lead analytics release planning and governance, ensuring consistent deployment, validation, and change control across platforms.

Technical Implementation & Development
Design, implement, and maintain JavaScript based analytics solutions, including data layer structures, custom events, and advanced tracking configurations.
Build and deploy tags, triggers, and variables within tag management systems, ensuring performance safe and standards aligned implementations.
Debug and resolve complex data collection issues, performing root cause analysis to address tracking gaps, inconsistencies, and regressions.
Implement consent aware analytics logic in alignment with global privacy and compliance requirements.

Requirements, Design & Cross Functional Collaboration
Lead technical analytics requirements gathering, translating business and measurement needs into actionable tagging and implementation designs.
Partner closely with web developers, MarTech product owners, and Analytics & Insights to ensure solutions meet technical, analytical, and business expectations.
Provide implementation guidance and technical consultation during digital initiatives, platform changes, and new experience launches.

Data Quality, Reporting Enablement & Support
Proactively identify data quality risks and gaps, recommending and implementing corrective actions to ensure accurate and complete datasets.
Enable scalable self service reporting by ensuring analytics implementations support effective use of tools such as Looker Studio.
Provide functional and technical support, including onboarding, troubleshooting, documentation, and knowledge sharing for analytics users.

Enablement, Standards & Continuous Improvement
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including tagging specifications, data layer schemas, and implementation patterns.
Promote analytics literacy, governance, and best practices across the organization through training, guidance, and collaboration.
Monitor emerging trends in digital analytics, tagging, privacy, and measurement technology, recommending improvements to tools, standards, and implementation approaches."

Qualifications:

Bachelors, Associates with relevant experience
7 or more years of experience

Skills:

Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics, Tag management applications including GTM or Adobe Tags, cookie compliance tools and privacy regulations, data visualization best practices, Agile development, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, RegEx, Data Layer design, regulatory awareness (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA).
