This position is responsible for supporting the IBM iSeries/Power systems technology, hardware, software, products and tools hosted in the Stoneleigh UK Data Center. Working closely with the existing Hosting iSeries team the role is responsible for ensuring high availability, support and development of the IBM iSeries/Power systems/technology. The role involves supporting and coordinating with the aftersales/parts teams and provide support and service delivery to Agco’s global business critical operations.

Your Impact

  • Deliver effective iSeries system troubleshooting with end-to-end problem resolution across production and test environments.
  • Perform iSeries system administration, including server provisioning, patching, OS upgrades, performance management, and project support as needed.
  • Develop, document, and maintain procedures for system utilities such as backup and restore, incremental backups, performance tuning, and environment configuration.
  • Support job scheduling, system maintenance activities, thin client implementation, and global warehouse operations.
  • Provide onsite iSeries IT support on a call-out rota basis and perform related duties as assigned by the team lead.

Your Experience and Qualifications

  • Diploma or similar in Computer Science/Computer studies
  • Should have 4-5 years of experience in relevant field.
  • Experience of IBM iSeries/Power system administration and troubleshooting. Knowledge of IBM iSeries/Power system network, access and security guidelines and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Robot scheduler/Robot Console/Robot Network, Redwood Scheduler, SAP and MS Windows products.
  • Advanced English communication skills.
