FiveBelow, one of the fastest growing retailers in theUSis looking for a highly motivatedSeniorFinancial Analyst to join our world-class FP&A teamThe FP&A team at Five Below works with partners from across the organization to provide critical financial resources, analysis, critical thinking, guidance, and overall value to the business.The financial analyst’s primary responsibilities includeworking with the business & making recommendations on how to execute efficiency-driving initiatives,supporting business partners to help deliver their financial targets,managing various forecasting and annual budgetingprocess,andpreparing management&board level reporting & analysis.
Job Responsibilities
Produce various analysesofmerchandise sales and margin performance
Prepare and analyze business metrics including but not limitedto:merchandise sales mix, store sales mix,spacialproductivity, merchandise margin contribution
Partnerwith Merchandisingteam andBuying team to plan & analyze performance of seasonal merchandise sets
Influence cross-functional partners by translating financial results into clear, actionable recommendations that inform merchandising strategy decisions
Proactivelyidentifyrisks and opportunities, bringing forward-looking insights and actions to improve sales, margin, and productivity
Assistwithmonthly & quarterlyfinancial packages for analyst calls and board ofdirectorsmeetings
On-going cross-functional communication with key members of theMerchandisingdepartments
Perform special finance relatedprojects crossfunctionally with merchandising teams
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree inFinanceAnalyticsAccountingEcon
3-6years progressive financial planning and analysis experience
FP&A experience in corporate retail preferred
Experience working withgranulardatasets,manipulatingandslicingdata
Strong ability to turn complex data into clear insights, including building intuitive dashboards and visualizations (Power BI or similar) that drive decision-making
Solid business acumen with the ability to communicate clearly and influence partners across functions
Experience developing and working with financial models, budgeting tools, multi locations or stores, merchandising, distribution are all pluses
Must be self-motivatedand have ability to multi-task
Excellent Analytical skills, working with data to uncover business trend drivers & provide recommendations
Must be able to work within a dynamic, fast-paced culture
Strong internal customer service orientation
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to interact with team members and management, team player
Must be a problem-solver intent on offering process improvement solutions
Technical Skills
Skilled at financial& dataanalysis, recognizing trends, andcommunicating results
Ability to take large data sets and create meaningful value-driven analysis
Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with extremeproficiencyin Excel
Experience with Power BI&Microsoft Accessa plus
