Introduction

We are looking for a Senior Foreign Trade Analyst to join our Standard Logistics SAM team in the Services business area. In this role, you will manage and optimize foreign trade and international logistics operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, traceability, and high service levels across import, export, and customs-related processes.

You will report to Assistant Manager, Logistics, and the role location is Concón, Chile, with a hybrid working model available.

Team you will belong to

You will join the Standard Logistics SAM team, which is responsible for coordinating and supporting foreign trade and logistics activities across the business. The team plays an important role in ensuring compliant, efficient, and cost-effective international logistics operations while supporting business objectives and customer needs.

The team works closely with logistics, procurement, finance, sales, operations, warehouses, distribution centers, planning, customer service, compliance teams, suppliers, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and carriers to ensure smooth execution of logistics and foreign trade processes.

What you'll do

• Coordinate and control import, export, triangulation, temporary admission, re-export, and other customs regimes required by the business.
• Review and validate invoices, shipping documents, purchase orders, shipping instructions, certificates of origin, and other documentation to ensure compliance with customs, tax, commercial, and contractual requirements.
• Prepare and provide accurate information to customs brokers and coordinate customs clearance activities through to operational and documentary closure.
• Coordinate shipments and logistics activities with suppliers, freight forwarders, carriers, warehouses, distribution centers, and internal stakeholders while ensuring agreed service levels, timelines, and costs.
• Analyze logistics costs and evaluate transportation alternatives, including freight, storage, insurance, demurrage, and handling expenses, identifying opportunities for savings and operational improvements.
• Monitor logistics performance indicators, transit times, costs, supplier performance, and operational deviations, generating reports and recommendations for improvement.
• Identify operational, documentary, and regulatory risks within the foreign trade process and support corrective and preventive actions.
• Support audits, maintain documentation and traceability records, provide technical guidance on foreign trade matters, and promote compliance with quality, safety, health, environmental, and ISO standards.

What you'll bring

• Demonstrated experience in foreign trade, international logistics, imports, exports, customs processes, or coordination with logistics operators.
• Professional or technical education in Foreign Trade, International Business, Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
• Solid knowledge of foreign trade regulations, customs requirements, import and export documentation, and international logistics processes.
• Understanding of free trade agreements, certificates of origin, tariff classification, and landed cost concepts.
• Experience working with SAP or other ERP systems supporting logistics, purchasing, inventory, sales, or foreign trade activities.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, with the ability to analyze data and support decision-making.
• Upper-intermediate written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks, evaluate alternatives, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ability to build effective relationships with internal customers, suppliers, customs brokers, and logistics partners.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, effective document control, and the ability to manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Clear communication skills, customer focus, teamwork, and a proactive approach to meeting deadlines and operational objectives.
• Ability to work with AI tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with Power BI or other analytical and reporting tools.
