New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG), a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources, is seeking a Senior Analyst Field Operations to be responsible for the oversight of a multi-year budget and rolling forecasts for labor, allocations, including scenario analysis and variance analysis. Heavily involved in the development and maintenance of the Field Operations internal financial management reports. During transition periods this position will also support major projects within Field Operations, effectively managing all aspects of the project from business case to development to implementation and support. This will involve continuously seeking ways to streamline and automate processes and enhance value through technology. This individual will need to build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and will be responsible for various disparate financial systems and will serve as subject matter expert across the financial software suite.
Major Responsibilities:
• Analysis of actuals and projections: monthly analysis of budgets, highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Preparation of Senior Management and Board level periodic reports and presentations.
• Monitor and coordinate the development and implementation of projects supporting Field Operations.
• Serve as subject matter expert for various financial meetings, project meetings, operational meetings.
• Generate ideas for future projects around cost reductions, process improvements, technology solutions.
• Seek out best and most cost-effective way of implementing solutions.
• Facilitate discussions around existing projects and potential future projects, and prioritize projects based on value, resource availability, duration etc.
• Provide regular updates to management and project sponsors.
• Assist in the establishment of gas maintenance policies and standards in compliance with Federal, State, local codes and regulations.
• Assist Field Operations Managers in the timely and accurate preparation of annual budget.
• Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance.
• Provides information and advice to Field Operations leadership regarding key strategic issues.
• Conducts related research, analyzes and interprets information, identifies issues and prepares and collaborates on solution-based proposals and recommendations.
• Ensures that accurate information is provided to the managers of Field Operations for decision-making.
• Develops presentations from concept to completion relying on subject matter experts within the company
Position Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
• 3–5 years of progressive experience in financial and/or operational analysis required.
• Utility, energy, or regulated industry experience preferred.
• Advanced analytical and technical skills, with expertise in data analysis, financial modeling, and enterprise systems.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

Other Details:
Compensation: Expected base pay range for this role will be $92,500- $125,000.
Base pay is based on several factors including, experience, skills, and knowledge.
This role will be eligible to participate in an annual short term incentive program.
