The Royal Caribbean Group’s Corporate and Capital Planning Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time Senior Analyst, Capital Planning reporting to the Manager of Capital Planning.

This position works on-site in Miami, Florida.

Position Summary:

The Senior Analyst, Capital Planning is a highly analytical, strategic and operational role supporting the company’s long-term capital asset strategy and the end-to-end capital expenditure process. This role ensures alignment with the company's strategic objectives by building comprehensive capital forecasts, underwriting and evaluating investment cases, and supporting systems for tracking, reporting, and optimizing capital projects.

The Senior Analyst will serve as a trusted analytical resource for leadership and business partners, driving informed investment decisions across the organization. This person is responsible for the intake and diligence of capital projects, as well as reporting and post-mortem reviews of projects in progress. Additionally, the position will play a hands-on role in the change management and transformation of the ERP for Capital Planning, which is an entirely new system for tracking, forecasting, and reporting on capital projects and spend. Lastly, the Senior Analyst will be involved in ad hoc analysis and reporting assignments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Utilize financial modeling and scenario analysis to evaluate investment opportunities, support multi-year budget planning, and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
• Monitor and evaluate KPIs related to capital projects’ financial and non-financial performance. Prepare comprehensive monthly and quarterly reports for senior executives.
• Support the entire capital expenditure process - from project submission and approval to execution and monitoring. Help design and maintain milestone tracking systems in collaboration with project managers.
• Coordinate bi-weekly Capital Committee meetings and work closely with Corporate Officers to provide analysis, reporting and recommendations of both current and future Capital projects to executive management.
• Manage the Capital Acquisition Request (CAR) process, including administration of the ERP platform, ensuring seamless electronic approvals and project tracking. Support system enhancements and the implementation of new ERP modules related to capital planning.
• Evaluate the capitalization and budgeting of all Capital Appropriation Requests and conduct periodic reviews of these projects.
• Underwrite and pressure-test business cases submitted by project sponsors—building and reviewing ROI, NPV, IRR, and payback analyses and stress-testing key assumptions to ensure capital is allocated to the highest-return opportunities.
• Work closely with Operating Groups, Accounting, Finance, External Partners, and IT teams to ensure accuracy in capital forecasting, capitalization policies, and project reporting.
• Liaise with Business Groups and Accounting to compile quarterly CIP confirmations and proper application of capitalization policies.
• Perform targeted analyses and develop recommendations to support strategic initiatives, financial goals, and process improvements.
• Synthesize complex data into actionable insights and explain or translate these insights to executives.
• Support monitoring and management of $20+ billion of upcoming capital expenditures over the next 5 years.
• Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, engineering, or another quantitative field.
• 2-3 years of work experience required across finance, operations, strategy, or underwriting—including but not limited to investment banking, management consulting, private equity or portfolio/PE operations, corporate development, corporate strategy, or corporate FP&A.
• Experience with Oracle ERP, Power BI preferred but not required.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word applications.
• Must have ability to work well under pressure, write executive level reports, administer meetings and problem solve with groups.
• Demonstrated financial modeling and scenario-analysis ability—able to build a driver-based model from a blank sheet, not just maintain templates.
• Highly analytical with the ability to think strategically: connects the numbers to the business decision and can translate complex analysis for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong work ethic and a track record of delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and ownership.
• Hungry and curious to learn, with genuine interest in how capital decisions drive enterprise value.
• Proactive and solution-oriented; identifies problems early and brings recommended options.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, willingness to self-improve, and a coachable, feedback-seeking mindset.
