Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Calgary office is actively hiring a Senior Analyst to join the team. This position reports to Manager, Commercial Applications in the Information Services Business Unit (ISU), part of Pembina’s Corporate Services Department.

At Pembina Information Services Unit, our responsibility is to continuously improve data, security and integrity of the network from infringement, interruption and destruction of sensitive data. Our focus is to collaborate with our customers and colleagues to land cutting edge technologies to help improve the way we work, maximize productivity and reduce cost which in turn could possibly help contribute to the environmental solutions that can help with our climate change challenges. Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to perform detailed analysis of business and technical requirements and provide appropriate system solutions. Identify, interpret, validate and document business requirements and functional specifications;
  • Demonstrate learning agility by actively seeking feedback, adapting to new information quickly, and applying learnings to improve performance and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
  • Self-directed and takes initiative to identify opportunities; act as a subject matter expert and communicate opportunities/gaps to the commercial team and business partners; and
  • Provide in-depth functional/technical knowledge in Commercial applications such as TIPS, QPTM, FlowCal, Bourque, etc, to support business, operations, and IS objectives;
  • Design, build and test enhancements;
  • Monitor, manage and resolve tickets within the above applications and custom tools;
  • Understand and support integrations;
  • Identify gaps, issues and provide work arounds when required;
  • Manage system changes including emergencies per Pembina’s IS Change Management processes;
  • Work with a cross functional team on understanding and supporting the enterprise;
  • Provide ad-hoc training and user support as required;
  • Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Continuously adapt to emerging technologies and evolving technical requirements by actively acquiring new skills, applying innovative solutions, and integrating feedback into daily problem-solving;
  • Experience with one or more of the following technologies: C# .NET, Java, C++, Soap Webservices, Python, React ;
  • Experience with writing SQL scripts in Oracle or MS SQL.

Qualifications:

  • Related post-secondary degree or college equivalent with 10+ years of professional work experience;
  • At least 10+ years of experience with commercial application support and project experience;
  • Demonstrated communication skills, positive and professional attitude, conflict management and issue resolution;
  • Results oriented individual who thrives to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment;
  • Previous experience with ITIL concepts is an asset;
  • Proven ability to demonstrate learning agility by rapidly adapting to changing business environments, embracing feedback, and continuously evolving leadership approaches to drive team and organizational success;
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new tools, technologies, or processes and apply them effectively in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to rapidly acquire and apply new technical skills, tools, and frameworks in response to evolving project requirements and emerging technologies.

The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. The final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
