YOUR OPPORTUNITY

The Senior Analyst is responsible for calculating and maintaining accurate material costs, analyzing production variances, and reconciling accounts across different reporting systems. This role also supports plant operations teams with costing and production order inquiries.During month end close, the accountant will work in processes to ensure integrity in the financial statements

ABOUT YOU

This role requires interactions across many functions (Finance & Non-Finance), including acting as a resource to the international markets due to daily tasks in which you will need to provide customer service to different markets across the world. On the role you will be able to drive standardization and reinforce correct procedures to make sure all the countries comply with the global guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES - WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART YOUR KEY FOCUS WILL BE

  • Calculate material costs and maintain master data, validating accuracy and consistency.
  • Analyze production variances and ensure alignment across internal financial systems.
  • Perform month end close and calculation of accounting journal entries.
  • Execute budget annual process.
  • Purchase Price Variance analysis process.
  • Support plant queries on costing and production order matters.
  • Execute and approve monthly Balance Sheet Account reconciliation.
  • Be able to respond and support auditor’s requests, including different SOX controls.
  • Support implementation of new projects from costing/inventory perspective.
  • Communicate effectively with internal/external Bacardi customers as necessary to ensure that work is properly delivered and influence them to follow the correct procedures and policies.
  • Continuously identify, propose, and execute process improvements.

SKILLS - THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY

  • Experience in accounting (around 4 years), ideally with exposure to System Applications and Products in Data Processing (SAP) or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams). Experience using Excel, including pivot tables and formulas.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to prioritize tasks and manage his/her time efficiently.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to communicate clearly.
  • A collaborative attitude and willingness to build positive relationships.
  • A disciplined approach to meeting deadlines and following up on tasks.
  • Comfort working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Intermediate understanding of business practices and a professional approach to customer service.
  • Openness to learning new skills and taking on new responsibilities as needed.
  • Open to receive and provide timely feedback.
  • Ability to train other members of the team, in a way that his/her technical mastery can be transmitted to them.
  • English skills (written and spoken) – 85% minimum.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Previous work in a Shared Services environment.
  • A degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field.
