The Senior Advisor, Trade Compliance, serves as the Company's principal non-attorney subject matter resource for import compliance execution and supports the integration of the Company's import and export compliance activities. This role has primary responsibility for carrying out the Company's import compliance program in daily practice, including customs entry oversight, tariff classification, valuation, country-of-origin determinations, and recordkeeping, and for translating program requirements into workable procedures for the business.
Reporting to the Lead Counsel, Import and Trade Compliance, the Senior Advisor, Trade Compliance, will work closely with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and outside trade advisors and will serve as a day-to-day technical resource on customs and trade regulatory questions arising across the enterprise.
The Senior Advisor, Trade Compliance, will support import program governance, CTPAT activities, regulatory filings and responses to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, special duty programs, audit remediation, and ERP and trade technology modernization initiatives.
