Job Description

The Sr Advisor - Integrated Marketing leads marketing initiatives to build a new, scalable brand expression focused on high-capacity donors and serves as a strategic partner for the Transformational Giving team in Development. This role translates audience insights into integrated strategies that drive awareness, engagement, revenue, and growth for the high wealth audience. Leads the development of multichannel audience campaigns alongside large cross-functional teams, ensuring cohesive experiences across touchpoints and maintaining alignment with the brand and the enterprise. Develops and enhances audience journeys that ladder up to strategic priorities. Leverages data, performance insights, and market trends to inform decision-making, optimize channel tactics and guide content and messaging strategy. Supports the reporting and presenting of audience insights and KPIs to marketing and relational leadership with a high level of understanding and autonomy. Prior experience with marketing strategy for High Net Worth brands and customers is a plus.

The Integrated Marketing team translates enterprise strategies, audience insights, and business priorities into coordinated marketing plans and relevant constituent journeys that drive growth, engagement, revenue, awareness, donor support, and retention.

The role convenes and leads cross-functional teams of subject matter experts and stakeholders to design cohesive marketing journeys, promotions, activations, and touchpoints. The Senior Advisor integrates audience insights, messaging, content, creative, channels, fundraising priorities, brand positioning, and constituent experiences; guides the marketing process from brief through execution and measurement; and drives organizational alignment, adoption, and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has experience leading mid-size to large, complex initiatives in highly matrixed environments. They are a strategic thinker, effective collaborator, audience-focused marketer, and trusted advisor who can influence without authority, navigate ambiguity, translate data and insights into compelling strategies, and drive alignment and measurable outcomes.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  1. Leads the development, management, implementation, and evaluation of integrated multichannel plans for an assigned high-priority audience or business priority. Leads long-range planning, annual plan development, and go-to-market strategies that advance ALSAC's strategic plan and defined business outcomes, in partnership with Marketing leadership.
  2. Serves as a strategic marketing leader, trusted advisor, and audience subject matter expert. Represents ALSAC/St. Jude with internal and external stakeholders; educates and socializes audience objectives and plans; pilots concepts and audience-focused solutions; contributes strategic input on high-potential activations; and provides peer guidance and support.
  3. Develops and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Identifies and convenes cross-functional teams of subject matter experts, regularly engaging key stakeholders to manage the established marketing process and ensure coordinated development and implementation of integrated plans.
  4. Proactively identifies and activates opportunities to integrate audience strategies, messaging, content, creative, channels, fundraising initiatives, brand positioning, and constituent journeys across the enterprise. Provides strategic audience guidance for high-visibility marketing and fundraising efforts designed to achieve defined growth, revenue, awareness, and retention objectives.
  5. Leads the creation of marketing briefs, strategic planning documents, and go-to-market frameworks, ensuring each phase of the marketing process is completed and strategies and deliverables are reviewed with appropriate stakeholders. Partners with Marketing Solutions and Enablement, assigned project managers, and other teams to support successful execution and measurement.
  6. Translates enterprise strategies, organizational priorities, audience insights, and business needs into actionable integrated marketing plans that maximize donor support and satisfaction. Manages audience integration touchpoints across marketing channels in alignment with business objectives, overall brand positioning, and brand guidelines.
  7. Synthesizes research, insights, and data into compelling audience-led stories, strategic recommendations, business cases, and marketing narratives that build alignment and drive growth. Guides content and messaging development by connecting audience-focused research and messaging with technical and programmatic content.
  8. Actively listens and adapts communication for different audiences, delivering information in a clear, compelling, understandable, and engaging manner. Socializes plans and recommendations across teams and ALSAC leadership and keeps leaders informed of key issues.
  9. Leads measurement, reporting, and optimization for assigned initiatives and marketing plans. Develops and shares quarterly audience trackers for assigned focus segments, incorporating ALSAC audience metrics and relevant industry metrics; applies audience learnings, experiences, and industry knowledge to deepen expertise and improve plans.
  10. Creates and presents post-campaign and post-activation reports for Marketing leadership and Development or Operations stakeholders, connecting pre-activation objectives and KPIs to performance. Collaborates with internal and external analytics teams to assess data and recommend improvements.

Job Requirements:

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree and at least 6 years of practical experience, including 1 year of managing people and/or leading cross-functional teams.
  • Highly creative and analytical thinker. Innovative and always looking to improve everything they touch.
  • A demonstrated strong working knowledge of integrated marketing. Uses a basic understanding of research, marketing/channel mix methodologies, paid media, brand management and industry best practices.
  • Adept at problem solving and developing solutions to specific business challenges or needs. Requires general understanding of strategic planning and analytics.
  • Proven and demonstrated leadership skills including relationship building, collaborating with clear ability to influence, gain buy-in, and negotiate with a diverse group of business partners/stakeholders including senior management. Demonstrated ability to manage effectively in a heavily matrixed organization with a high degree of initiative and strong ability to meet key responsibilities with limited oversight.
  • Proven ability to communicate well verbally and in writing with internal and external stakeholders of different levels, including experience presenting to senior executives the ability to simplify complex information clearly.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to participate effectively in a team environment and works well with others.

This role is based at our National Executive Office in Memphis, TN and is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
