Job Description
The team focuses on ensuring the availability, performance, and continuous improvement of enterprise application platforms, including analytics, data management, and middleware technologies. Day to day you will administer and support Oracle Analytics Server, Oracle Essbase, and Oracle WebLogic Server environments; monitor system health and performance; manage cloud-based resources; and support deployment, testing, and maintenance activities. As a Senior Applications Administrator, you will design and implement application solutions, automate processes using DevOps practices, support integrations, and provide technical expertise to development teams and business partners.
What You Can Offer Us
- Administer Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) and Oracle Essbase environments, including cube design, data modeling, and report/dashboard development and maintenance.
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle WebLogic Server environments to ensure system stability and optimal performance.
- Monitor application performance, health, and compliance; proactively resolve issues to prevent service degradation.
- Administer cloud environments (e.g., Microsoft Azure) and implement DevOps practices to automate workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- Perform system, integration, and user acceptance testing using both sample and live data; support release deployments, including after-hours activities.
- Manage Service Desk tickets and own issue resolution end-to-end, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support platform upgrades, integrations, and technical enhancements.
- Maintain orchestration, configuration management, and system discovery processes for enterprise systems.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations, processes, and requirements.
- Conduct trend and capacity analysis to support scalability and resource planning.
- Install and support enterprise and third-party software solutions for end users.
- Participate in software deployment processes and provide development support where needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Need to Succeed
- A minimum of 7 years of Oracle Analytics Server (OAS / Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE)), Oracle Essbase, and Oracle WebLogic Server administration experience required.
- Proven experience integrating enterprise applications across multiple platforms required.
- Experience with cloud architecture, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure, and DevOps workflows such as Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) required.
- Knowledge of Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) and Active Directory required.
- Strong scripting and development experience, including JavaScript, Extensible Markup Language (XML), HyperText Markup Language (HTML), and web services required.
- Working knowledge of Power BI and Microsoft Fabric preferred.
- Experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) preferred.
- ITIL v3 Foundation certification preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills required.
- Strong documentation and technical writing skills required.
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, evolving environment required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
- Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.
- Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English required; multilingual capabilities preferred.
- Approximately 10% travel may be required in support of the position’s responsibilities.
