Requisition Summary

PACCAR is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support our Purchasing Management staff members. In this role you will be working in a key area of the business that plays an essential role in delivering our high-quality trucks to the market.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Purchasing Leadership Support:
    • Travel arrangements and calendar management
    • Expense report preparation and submittal within Concur
    • Coordinating leadership meetings
    • Answering inbound calls
  • Coordinating events: Supplier Performance Management awards and dinner, employee recognition, and other special events
  • On-boarding of new Purchasing employees and interns
  • Creating and maintaining supplier and vendor contact databases
  • Processing of Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, and Goods Receipts within SAP
  • Adding and maintaining part information in PACCAR’s purchasing systems
  • Maintaining office supplies and employee equipment
  • Reviewing documents for adherence to record retention policies
  • Assisting in the creation and editing of communications and presentations
  • Collaborating with and providing back up for other administrative support team members.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work with confidential information and within deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills; excellent verbal and written communication ability
  • Aptitude for organizing daily work and activities
  • Excellent PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet)
  • Demonstrated ability to support senior executives
  • 2-5 years of administrative support experience, preferably with PACCAR
  • Experience with business systems / applications
  • Analytical skills desirable
  • Concur and SAP knowledge desirable

Education

  • Associate Degree required, Bachelors Degree preferred
