EVEREVE’s Senior Account will mainly be helping with general ledger accounting, banking, reconciliations, internal control documentation and other tasks as needed on the finance team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Accounting, this position will work collaboratively with the finance team. This position is a terrific opportunity to gain exposure to our broader finance operations and path to career growth with EVEREVE.

Position: Temporary (5 months) $45-55/hr. Please note- this is not a remote opportunity.

Main Responsibilities:

• Assistance with General Ledger accounting and month-end close, including:
• Prepare and input journal entries
• Adjusting entries at month end
• Prepare account reconciliations
• Prepare and assemble monthly financial statements
• Maintain equity schedules
• Payroll Accounting
• Prepare and input payroll related journal entries for all regular and off-cycle payrolls and month end entries and accruals
• Manage benefit invoices and transfers, including health insurance, FSA/HSA, COBRA, and 401k
• Provide payroll processing backup
• Tax Compliance and Reporting
• Submit quarterly state and federal estimated income tax payments
• Calculate, file, and pay misc. state and local taxes
• Assess use tax on invoices
• Resolve tax notices
• Support external tax teams with quarterly and annual tax returns and tax provision
• Supervise monthly state sales tax data preparation and payment entry
• Assist with External Audits
• Assist with two annual financial audits by preparing schedules and workpapers and supporting external audit team with requests and questions
• Draft financial statements and footnote disclosures
• Assist with annual 401k audit by gathering audit requests, preparing schedules, and serve as main contact to external audit team
• Internal Control Documentation
• Assist in documenting and establishing segregation of duties
• Assist in documenting controls

Other Responsibilities Could Involve:

• Assist with special projects as they arise
• Assist with month end or yearend tasks as necessary
• Responsibilities may shift as business needs change

Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a minimum of 2-3 years of public accounting experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
• Developed organizational, time management, and communication skills
• Self-directed, driven and ready to take ownership and initiative
• Ability to work more than 40 hours a week to meet business needs
• Able to meet deadlines, stay focused, multitask, and prioritize tasks in order of importance in a dynamic, high-energy, fast paced environment
• Develop healthy and supportive working relationships with the Evereve team
• Ability to problem solve; and find ways to streamline processes
