Paradies Lagardere is recruiting a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting Team. The Senior Accountant will assist in all aspects of inventory, IT expense support and general accounting. Primary responsibilities will include monthly journal entries and reconciliations which include reconciling and managing various accruals in SAP. The Senior Accountant – Accounting should be able to work independently, be deadline driven, be able to work in a fast-paced environment and must have the ability to adjust to changing priorities and work well under pressure.

The Senior Accountant will be skilled in time management, organization, communication and the ability to execute an assignment through to completion. This position will report directly to the Director of Accounting and will also interact with upper management. Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal are a must.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for monthly and quarterly close journal entries including various accruals, prepaids and inventory
  • Own monthly account reconciliations which would include various accruals, prepaids and inventory accounts
  • Work closely with inventory accounting team to reconcile retail cost of sales
  • Assist with platform physical inventories to ensure count files are reconciled and posted correctly
  • Assist with IT OPEX, project capitalization and tracking for reporting to leadership
  • Responsible for preparation of year-end audit work papers and responses to audit inquiries regarding various accruals, prepaids and inventory
  • Ad-hoc project completion and continuous process improvement initiatives

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Required: BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting
  • Required: 5+ years of public or private accounting experience
  • Proficiency in Excel, including VLookups and SAP knowledge

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have strong knowledge of SAP and all Microsoft Products
  • Desire to identify and implement process improvements
  • Must have strong communication and organizational skills
  • Able to handle highly sensitive and confidential information
  • Work with a consistent sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected situations
  • Team player and ready to assist where needed
