Job Description

DeVries is seeking a Sr. Account Supervisor with strong earned media expertise to work across clients in the food and beverage space. This role is based in our New York office (hybrid). The ideal candidate will bring a journalistic mindset, deep media relationships and project management expertise.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead media relations efforts to drive quality editorial coverage in national consumer, lifestyle, business and news outlets, including those with diverse, multicultural audiences
  • Support executive internal and external speaking engagements and media opportunities.
  • Develop and provide briefings prior to speaking engagements and media interviews.
  • Evolve relationships with corporate media staying on top of developments in newsrooms, news organizations and new media.
  • Oversee planning and execution of media-facing activations, including deliveries, events, partnerships, etc.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic client plans as well as program or initiative-specific PR recommendations.
  • Account for quality control of all plans, memos, reports, and client- and media-facing materials.
  • Serve as key client contact, providing day-to-day updates and counsel on media relations-related matters
  • Train, mentor and manage junior staff on media relations, events and general program execution, serving as a role model to other team members
  • Attend account reviews and staff meetings – provide ongoing communications and feedback
  • Successfully contribute to the growth of existing accounts
  • Actively participate in agency development and assist with new business

Bachelor's Degree

6-9 years related professional experience

Salary range: 90,000-125,000

DeVries has included the base salary or hourly rate for this role. Actual compensation offered within the range will depend upon, among other factors: actual ranges for current or former employees in the role; market considerations; budgetary considerations; as well as a candidate’s background, relevant experience, and qualifications.
