
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
The American Red Cross is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Account Manager for Richmond, Charlottesville and accompanying areas, to lead strategic sales efforts within a high-value hospital territory. This role is responsible for managing key clinical and executive-level relationships across hospitals that utilize Red Cross blood products and services. With a focus on growth and retention, you will educate stakeholders on our offerings, negotiate contracts, and expand our footprint into new hospital systems.
This is a high-impact role ideal for professionals with a strong background in healthcare sales—particularly those with experience in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or hospital systems—who are passionate about making a difference in patient care.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):
Education: Bachelor’s degree required; a background in science or healthcare is preferred.
Experience Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, ideally in healthcare sales, clinical services, or a related field. Experience selling to hospitals, pharma, or medical device companies is highly desirable.
Skills & Abilities:
Our starting compensation for this role is $96,624.00 per year, with the option to earn incentives based on meeting target metrics.
Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role.
This job will be posted for a minimum of five business days and extended if the applicant pool needs to be expanded.
This position will work out of your home base location but will require regular in-person visits to hospital clients. Your home base must be within the assigned territory
