Our Recreation Team is a vibrant, close-knit community of people who thrive on connection, movement, and making a difference. Join the team at YMCA Hawkesbury and help develop successful squad programs whilst leading squad training sessions under the guidance of the Head Squad Coach.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head Squad Coach, the Squad Coach is an essential component in the delivery of YMCA Squad programs and services. You are required to maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of all aspects of YMCA Squad programs, educational trends and industry development. This role also entails:

  • The delivery of safe, effective and professional sessions that progress the ability of students
  • Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of Coaching
  • Additional WHS, administration and planning of the Squad program

What you will need to have

  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Swim Coach License
  • Teacher of Towards Competitive Strokes/Teacher of Competitive Swimming (Desirable)

About The Royal Children's Hospital

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville.
