Job Description

SQL Developer - Office Based

Requirements:

  1. Technical Skills:
    • Proven knowledge of SQL Server, including database architecture, indexing, and performance tuning.
    • Proficient in writing, updating, and optimizing complex SQL queries.
    • Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
    • Understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
    • Experience with database backup, recovery, and security practices.
  2. Soft Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Attitude is everything.
  3. Work Environment:
    • The role is primarily on-premise
    • Must have the ability to manage tasks effectively in both settings.
    • There will be times where the candidate will work after hours and on weekends.
    • Candidate will be required to work on general database updates, data fixes, batch executions, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases and queries to support business requirements.
  • Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
  • Perform query optimization to ensure efficient database performance.
  • Implement and manage data updates, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Design and develop Business Intelligence (BI) reports and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues and performance bottlenecks.
  • Document database structures, queries, and workflows.
