Position Overview:
We are seeking an Intermediate SQL Developer with over 4 years of experience to join our talented team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in SQL and a proven track record of developing and optimizing database solutions. You will work on complex projects, ensuring data integrity and performance while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Design and optimize database schemas and ensure efficient data retrieval.
  • Analyze and resolve database performance issues, including query optimization and indexing.
  • Collaborate with software developers, analysts, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Create and maintain documentation for database structures, procedures, and workflows.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot database systems to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Implement and enforce data security measures and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years of experience as an SQL Developer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
  • Strong understanding of database design principles and best practices.
  • Experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and tools is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud-based databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks.
  • Certifications related to SQL or database management are advantageous.
