Supplier Quality & Development Engineer is responsible for ensuring that our suppliers meet our quality and delivery performance standards. This includes leading APQP and PPAP projects, as well as acting as the voice of the supplier in the company.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Owns supplier’s performance management on the designated scope.
Manage performance for assigned suppliers with regular metrics review.
Conduct supplier performance reviews and foster improvement of suppliers' performance.
Deploy supplier development projects with the support of SQ&D
Support of operational issues with impacted GBE (according to escalation process)
Develop and maintain supplier quality and delivery performance metrics.
• Contribute to AOP & STRAP objectives achievement for the designated scope:
Manage customer claims and ensure timely resolution.
Conduct supplier audits and drive continuous improvement.
Lead Conduct supplier audits and drive continuous improvement.
Develop and maintain supplier scorecards.
Work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing teams to ensure supplier quality and delivery performance.
Ensure compliance with all applicable quality standards and regulations.
• Responsible for leading and executing APQP and PPAP as per defined milestones by program management.
Lead APQP and drives projects to final phase.
Validates ODT and PPAP with suppliers including change management in serial conditions.
Ensures all issues during development and serial life are being captures via Lessons Learned
Represents Voice of the Supplier

5 years work experience
Extensive Electronic/Mechatronic knowledge – automotive industry. Gears, Shaft, Cold Plates, Magnet, Oil-Pump, Invertor, Controller, Connector, Sensors, Capacitor, Resistor, IGBT, Printed Circuit Boards Printed (PCB) and Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA) / Semiconductors, Wiring Harnesses, Stator Coils and Stator Coil assemblies, Brushless DC Motors, Power Electronics) Bus Bars, etc.
General overview in EOL test for electronic component. In process-check for PCBA manufacturing like ICT, AOI, in line 2D/3D X-Ray and EOL aging and test methods. PT Failure Analysis with 2D/3D X-Ray machine, Sonoscan.
Experience with PCBA tear down and destructive analysis processes for component and PCBA failure analysis
Ability to Read drawings and technical specification, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, engineering instructions for assembling electronics units, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components.
Capability to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions with good understanding of Process Instructions (Sw, Hw, Firmware parameters).
Problem solving analysis skills with a logical and methodical approach (8D, 5Why, Cause/Effect Diagram)
Knowledge on complex micro-electronics device: Microcontroller, ASIC, SOP, FPGA, PLD, IGBT, Power MOSFET
Degree in Mechanical Engineering and significant work experience
Technical background in automotive, Knowledge in Quality system & Process Auditing, preferably based on VDA 6.3
Manufacturing plant and Production process experience
Experience on practice of quality tools such as AIAG - APQP, PPAP, MSA, D&PFMEA, DOE, ISO, IATF-16949…
Ability to understand drawings and technical specifications.
Good experience on at least one related commodity process, such as casting, machining, stamping, welding, plastic injection, etc.
Six Sigma experience – Lean Expert or Black Belt is a plus.
