Job Description

A production accountant manages the budget, tracks expenses, and handles financial reporting. Their role is vital for ensuring the production stays within budget, providing financial oversight, and ensuring accurate financial records are maintained. Reporting to the production accountant, you’ll be working with a team who are responsible for the management and handling of finance and budget throughout the course of a production.

The below may be part of your core responsibilities:

  • Assist in the control cash flow and spending
  • Assist in calculating finances
  • Assist in preparing and budgets and schedules
  • Liaising with financiers
  • Assist in maintaining financial records during production
  • Produce cost forecasts and respond to changes in the budget or script
  • Manage payroll and payments
