
A lighting assistant supports the lighting team by setting up, adjusting, and maintaining lighting equipment. This ensures proper illumination for scenes, enhances the visual quality, and helps create the desired mood and atmosphere. Their work is crucial for achieving consistent lighting, ensuring safety on set, and assisting the lighting director in executing the creative vision efficiently. Working under the guidance of the lighting coordinator (best boy) and the lighting technicians, you’ll provide support to the entire lighting department and assist in ensuring that the lighting on set is properly set up and adjusted for each shot, and the full functionality of equipment.
