The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve as Deputy State Central Register Call Center Administrator. Subject to management approval, this position will manage and direct operations for a specified shift for the Department’s 24 hour/7 day per week Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline and will oversee assigned Call Center Team Supervisors. Additionally, the position will develop strategies and monitor activities to ensure the consistent application of child protection policies and procedures involved in the reporting, evaluation, and retrieval of child abuse and neglect information. This position provides a great opportunity for someone with strong management capabilities who wants to help ensure that the most vulnerable among us are protected. Requires an MSW or master’s degree in a related human services field (child, family, and community services, criminal justice, criminal justice administration, early childhood development, early childhood education, elementary education, guidance and counseling, home economics-child and family services, human service administration, human services marriage and family therapy, law enforcement, master of divinity, mental health counseling, pastoral care, pastoral counseling, psychiatry, psychiatric nursing, psychology, public administration, rehabilitation counseling, secondary education, social science, social services, sociology, and special education).

Term Appointment: Candidates hired into a term position shall be appointed for a term of 4 years and are subject to a probationary period. The term may be renewed for successive four-year terms at the Director of the Department of Children and Family Services’s discretion.
