Venus Project is a major ultra-deepwater development located in approximately 3,000 m water depth in the Atlantic. The development is designed to produce approximately 160,000 barrels of oil per day, with associated gas reinjected to maintain reservoir pressure.

The project includes up to 40 subsea wells connected to the Subsea Production System (SPS), supported by a permanent 16-line spread-moored FPSO. The project is being executed in an international and multicultural environment, requiring strong coordination between engineering, contractors, vendors, quality, logistics and mechanical completion teams.

The position will be based at the EPFS Contractor Premises in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, supporting SPS equipment quality control, mechanical completion, delivery, documentation and handover activities.

Job Description

  • Coordinate SPS mechanical completion, quality control and equipment handover activities under the supervision of the SPS Quality Lead.
  • Work closely with the SPS Quality Lead to ensure effective implementation of quality assurance and quality control activities.
  • Monitor and report the status of SPS equipment readiness, inspections, delivery and handover activities to relevant project stakeholders.
  • Advise Project Leads on required quality, inspection, delivery and handover actions.
  • Coordinate inspection activities through IQ-ALL and review inspection reports for compliance with project requirements.
  • Perform QC inspections at contractor and vendor facilities when required.
  • Expedite critical SPS components and monitor items on the project critical path.
  • Monitor SPS equipment readiness across manufacturing facilities and coordinate equipment release in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate the issuance of Ready for Shipment (RFS) certificates, where applicable.
  • Coordinate with contractor logistics teams regarding equipment location, transportation and delivery status.
  • Coordinate with Mechanical Completion teams for compilation, review and control of release and handover documentation, including dispatch dossiers and certificates.
  • Support SPS Interface Engineers with the handover of Company Provided Items (CPI) to other Company contractors.
  • Coordinate the formal handover of SPS equipment in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Support the SPS Quality Lead with project QA/QC activities, including audits, vendor approvals, quality actions and follow-up.
  • Monitor and contribute to the closure of NCRs, Technical Queries (TQs), Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and Lessons Learned.
  • Participate in contract close-out activities in accordance with project procedures.
  • Anticipate potential quality, delivery and handover issues and take proactive actions to prevent delays.
  • Promote TotalEnergies values, quality culture, teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities for optimization, innovation and cost savings without compromising QHSE objectives.
  • Comply with all project HSE requirements, procedures and site instructions.
  • Report HSE anomalies, incidents and near misses and participate in relevant HSE meetings, inspections, audits and training.
  • Promote safe working practices and actively contribute to the project’s QHSE performance.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
  • 5–10 years of relevant professional experience in subsea production systems (SPS), equipment quality control, mechanical completion, inspection or equipment handover.
  • Demonstrated experience with SPS equipment and subsea project execution.
  • Experience in quality control/quality assurance within EPC, subsea, offshore or oil & gas projects.
  • Experience coordinating vendor/manufacturer inspections and reviewing inspection documentation.
  • Knowledge of mechanical completion, equipment release, documentation control and handover processes.
  • Experience with equipment expediting and delivery coordination, particularly for critical-path items.
  • Familiarity with NCR, TQ, RCA, audit, vendor approval and quality action follow-up processes.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, vendors, logistics, mechanical completion, interfaces and project teams.
  • Strong understanding of project quality requirements, specifications and contractual compliance.
  • Good knowledge of HSE requirements and safe working practices.
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate issues and drive actions to closure.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • French language skills are an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in an international, multicultural environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team player while managing multiple priorities.

Additional Information

  • Willingness to work on a residential assignment in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
  • Availability for an initial 1-year assignment, renewable up to 4 years.
