MISSIONS CONTEXT

The client seeks technical assistance services for an SPS In-country Operation Leader to coordinate the readiness and execution of in-country Subsea Production Systems activities in Suriname. The role acts as the affiliate focal point for the SPS operational perimeter and interfaces with Drilling & Completion, SURF, Field Operations, contractors and other project entities to support safe, efficient and cost-effective onshore and offshore operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Coordinate the in-country readiness of SPS equipment, including 34 Christmas trees and wellhead systems, tooling, flying leads, subsea distribution systems and manifolds

· Act as the affiliate focal point for the SPS operational perimeter and ensure efficient day-to-day operations

· Coordinate SPS personnel, equipment and logistics required to support drillship and subsea installation vessel activities

· Monitor the progress and performance of in-country SPS contractors and subcontractors against schedule, specifications and procedures

· Maintain effective interfaces with Drilling & Completion, SURF, Field Operations and other project stakeholders

· Lead the arbitration of SPS priorities with the contractor and relevant project counterparts

· Identify operational and technical issues early and coordinate their timely resolution with the appropriate experts

· Monitor Life of Field services budget consolidation, consumption and associated reporting

· Report to the SPS Package Manager and supervise SPS onshore base and offshore Company representatives

SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES

Operational Coordination:

  • Coordinate offshore SPS requirements, personnel, equipment and associated logistics for drilling, installation and testing campaigns

Contracts / Contractor Management:

  • Coordinate Call of Order processes under the Life of Field contract for offshore and onshore preservation, testing and repair activities
  • Develop constructive relationships with SPS contractor representatives and monitor performance against EPFS and Life of Field requirements

Reporting / Interfaces:

  • Maintain effective communication channels across the project organization and with the SPS contractor at all levels
  • Lead weekly and monthly operational meetings with contractors and involved project packages
  • Provide reporting tools highlighting contractor performance, variations from expected trends, objectives and required actions
  • Represent the Company positively at contractor premises, sites and offshore vessels when required
  • Coordinate operational management tools including PTW, risk assessments, FDL, SIMOPS, Synergi and lessons learned

Technical / Quality Support:

  • Identify technical and quality issues related to the SPS onshore base and offshore activities and lead their resolution with the contractor and relevant specialists

Documentation / Readiness:

  • Review and approve SPS specifications, requisitions, technical documentation, methods, task plans and procedures for onshore and offshore operations, testing and preservation
  • Assist with preparation of pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities
  • Ensure personnel under the service holder’s responsibility are supervised, instructed and trained in site rules, systems of work and emergency actions

HSE Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate exemplary behavior regarding H3SE and comply with all applicable statutory, Company and project requirements
  • Implement H3SE rules within the assigned area of responsibility and comply with position-specific training requirements
  • Maintain awareness of relevant H3SE standards and actively participate in safety initiatives and awareness programs
  • Promote safe execution of onshore and offshore SPS operations, including lifting, ROV and SIMOPS activities
  • Adopt exemplary behavior regarding Company Ethics and Code of Conduct
  • Promote and enforce the applicable Anti-Corruption Program

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Degree in a relevant technical discipline, ideally with offshore construction and commissioning experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Minimum 15 years of professional experience, including at least 10 years within major projects
  • Strong SPS experience; previous experience on Company projects is expected
  • General knowledge of Company E&P General Specifications and subsea design and operational codes and standards
  • Ability to represent the Company internally and externally at senior level
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary and multicultural team and assume significant safety and security responsibilities
  • Ability to react decisively to changing circumstances and identify, analyse and solve operational problems
  • Strong communication, leadership, organization, motivation and influencing skills
  • Experience with offshore installation supervision and onshore/offshore lifting operations

Expected SPS Operations Knowledge

  • Marine operations using Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV)
  • SPS equipment preparation, preservation, testing and repair
  • Offshore drilling and subsea installation vessel interfaces
