Job Description

The opportunity:

Join Kinetic as a Spray Painter based in Campbellfield, Victoria, and play a key role in maintaining and restoring our fleet to the highest industry standards. Working within a modern workshop environment, you will be responsible for vehicle refinishing, colour matching, paint restoration, and minor repair work to ensure our vehicles are presented safely and professionally for service.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Spray Painter looking for stable employment, a supportive team environment, and the chance to work on a large and diverse fleet of vehicles. You will work alongside experienced workshop professionals, contribute to maintaining high-quality workmanship, and have the opportunity to mentor apprentices and trade assistants while further developing your own skills.

You’ll be involved in:

  • Preparing vehicles for refinishing and paint application
  • Applying 2K and COB paint systems
  • Colour matching and paint restoration
  • Conducting minor smash repairs and panel replacements
  • Cutting, polishing, detailing, and vehicle presentation
  • Assisting with vehicle damage assessments and repair estimates
  • Maintaining paint stock levels and workshop standards
  • Completing records and reports related to repair work
  • Supporting apprentices and trade assistants
  • Ensuring all repairs meet company and regulatory requirements

The boxes you’ll tick:

  • Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology or other relevant qualification.
  • Previous experience as an Automotive Spray Painter.
  • Strong colour matching and vehicle refinishing skills
  • Medium Rigid (MR) licence or higher is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Forklift licence is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
  • Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude
