So, what duties can you expect to do in your apprenticeship?

• Maintain sports fields and surrounds through mowing, edging and turf care.
• Set up fields for training and game days, including line marking and equipment preparation.
• Assist with irrigation operation, hand watering and minor repairs.
• Carry out turf renovations such as aeration, scarifying and topdressing.
• Apply fertilisers and support weed, pest and disease management.
• Operate ride-on mowers, brush cutters, blowers and other turf equipment safely.
• Maintain garden beds, trees and landscaped areas across the facility.
• Complete TAFE training while building practical sports turf skills on-site.

What will you need?

• Driver's licence and own transport. Or ability to get to site.
• National Police Check or willing to obtain one.
• Working with Children Check, or willing to obtain one (if over 18 years old)
