Hager Group is looking for a highly organised and hands-on Sports Sponsorship & Activation Specialist (m/f/d) to ensure the successful delivery of our sponsorship activities during a fixed-term assignment

Working within Group Communications, you will contribute to the operational implementation of our sponsorship strategy and take responsibility for coordinating and activating key partnerships, particularly with Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace and 1. FC Saarbrücken

As a Sports Sponsorship & Activation Specialist (m/f/d) you will report to our Brand Experience & Sponsorship Communications Manager in the Brand Experience & Sponsorship department based in Blieskastel (Germany) or Obernai (France) for a fixed-term contract of 12 months.

Your mission

Your role will be to turn sponsorship rights and commitments into well-executed, impactful activations.

You will ensure that our partnerships are delivered effectively—from planning and coordination through to implementation, performance monitoring and reporting. You will also support local Hager markets in developing sponsorship initiatives within the Group’s defined governance and priorities.

As the position is a fixed-term assignment, you will maintain clear and structured documentation and prepare a complete handover of the scope at the end of the assignment.

Your responsibilities

Coordinate our sponsorship activities

• Contribute to the operational implementation of the sponsorship strategy defined by management.
• Support the annual planning of sponsorship activities, campaigns and events.
• Maintain an up-to-date overview of contractual rights, commitments, deadlines, budgets and deliverables.
• Monitor relevant market trends and sponsorship best practices.

Activate our RCSA and 1. FC Saarbrücken partnerships

• Manage the day-to-day operational delivery of both partnerships.
• Plan and coordinate activations, events, hospitality programmes, campaigns and content.
• Ensure effective use of contractual rights and compliance with agreed schedules and deliverables.
• Safeguard the quality and consistency of Hager’s brand visibility across all activations.
• Prepare briefs, communication materials, content and event logistics.
• Coordinate clubs, agencies, Communications teams, markets and other internal stakeholders.
• Follow up on decisions, actions and outstanding topics.

Support local markets

• Help Hager markets prepare and deliver local sponsorship initiatives.
• Provide and adapt guidelines, templates, tools and best practices.
• Facilitate cooperation between markets, partners and central functions.
• Track support requests and contribute to their prioritisation with management.
• Encourage the sharing of experiences and successful activation concepts across markets.

Monitor performance and prepare the handover

• Track activations, budgets, media impact, and key performance indicators, and provide regular management updates.
• Identify risks, deviations, and opportunities for improvement, and support post-activation reviews.
• Maintain accurate documentation of contracts, contacts, processes, and activities, ensuring a smooth and effective handover at the end of the assignment.

What you bring

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in communications, marketing, event management or a comparable field, with at least three years of experience in sponsorship, partnership coordination, communications or event management.
• Experience in sports sponsorship activation is a strong advantage; experience working in an international and cross-functional environment is desirable.
• Excellent organizational, coordination, and follow-up skills, with the ability to manage multiple activations, stakeholders, and priorities simultaneously.
• Operational, reliable, and solution-oriented mindset, with strong attention to detail and the ability to consistently meet deadlines.
• Confidence in collaborating with external partners, agencies, and senior stakeholders, and in preparing clear briefs, presentations, reports, and communication materials.
• Good understanding of sponsorship objectives, brand visibility, and reputation management, along with proficiency in office and collaboration tools.
• French is required to manage the relationship with Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace; German is strongly preferred to support the relationship with 1. FC Saarbrücken; English is a plus.
