SMF-Sutter Med Foundation- CentralThis position offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the development and sustainability of a comprehensive Sports Neurology and Concussion Care program within a state-of-the-art Sports and Orthopedics Center. The Sports Neuropsychologist will serve a broad and diverse patient population, providing care across a wide age range beginning at age 12, including middle and high school athletes, as well as collegiate and professional sports participants. As an integral member of a multidisciplinary team, this role delivers evidence-based evaluation and management of concussion and mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI), supporting high-quality, coordinated care across Neurology, Sports Medicine, Rehabilitation Services, and community partners. The position emphasizes collaborative return-to-play, return-to-learn, and return-to-work decision-making and includes active participation in program development through standardized assessment pathways, clinical workflows, and best-practice guidelines—helping shape a growing, innovative concussion program designed to meet increasing referral demands and advance clinical excellence in sports-related brain health.
Will provide services that identify, quantify, and describe changes in cognition and behavior associated with central nervous system dysfunction and mental health disorders. Function as a member of a multidisciplinary team and provide assessments and treatment plans for patients in a hospital/outpatient clinic setting. Responsibilities include performing neuropsychological evaluations and communication of results to patients, family, and patient’s physicians.

Pay Range is $126,256.00 to $189,384.00 / annual salary
The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
