Travel Percentage: None, Blue Valley Recreation Commission (BVRC) is seeking motivated and hardworking individuals to join our team as a Full-Time Maintenance Worker at our premier 27-field sports complex. This is a full-time, year-round position with benefits that plays a key role in providing a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for thousands of athletes, families, and visitors each year.
Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour
As a Maintenance Worker, you'll help maintain the sports complex grounds, facilities, and equipment by:
Qualifications: Qualified applicants must be at least 18yrs old and possess at least a high school diploma or GED.
General knowledge and experience with operation and maintenance of lawn care equipment, tractors, implements, and hand tools.
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Regular and punctual attendance is required.
The candidate must successfully pass a background check, drug screen, and maintain a valid driver license.

Under Kansas State Statutes, voters formed Blue Valley Recreation Commission in 1986 to provide local recreation programs under the auspices of the Blue Valley School Board. Blue Valley Rec is a separate entity; the Board of Education certifies the Commission’s budget and appoints commissioners. The great partnership with the Blue Valley School District allows Blue Valley Rec to contain costs to patrons.
