Sports Concession Stand Attendant
General

Summary
Must be at least 16 years of age.  Games are scheduled evenings, Monday through Friday and Saturdays, and Sunday March-September.

- - - Duties include but are not limited to:

- - - - Food preparation and selling food and drinks.
- - - - Collecting money and making change and operation of cash register, reconciliation of money at the end of shift.
- - - - Responsible for concession inventory.
- - - - Cleaning of concession area and areas surrounding concession building,
- - - - Employee is required to attend all preseason trainings as needed.
- - - - Other duties maybe assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

- - - - Thorough knowledge of the policies, procedures, and activities of the Parks and Recreation Department as they pertain to the performance of the duties of the Concession Stand Staff.
- - - - Comprehensive knowledge of youth sports.
- - - - Ability to handle sensitive or stressful situations with tact and diplomacy.
- - - - Solid knowledge in the applications of equipment as necessary for the completion of daily activities. Ability to comprehend, interpret and apply regulations, procedures, and related information.
- - - - Ability to work with diverse people.
- - - - Ability to work successfully in a team-oriented atmosphere that provides citizens and employees with accurate information.
- - - - Well-developed customer service and human relations skills. Independent judgment and decision-making within established policy.

Working Environment/Physical Activities:
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends.
- Must be able to work at indoor and outdoor temperatures, with extreme heat & cold.
- Environmental conditions encountered will include noise, fumes, odors, and dust.
- Must work without direct supervision and with a great deal of autonomy.

Hyland Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District, established in 1955, has the honor of being the first park and recreation district in the State of Colorado. Today, Hyland Hills serves nearly 110,000 residents in a 24 square mile area located in southwest Adams County and including: the areas of Westminster and Arvada located in Adams County; parts of Northglenn, Thornton and unincorporated Adams County; and, the City of Federal Heights.

The Hyland Hills Foundation has given thousands of dollars in scholarships to children living in the District to ensure that no child will be unable to participate in District activities due to financial constraints.
