In this role, you'll:
You will contribute to high profile sponsorships, partnerships and events that connect communities and support the delivery of Transport's strategic communication priorities.
As the Sponsorships & Events Specialist, you will support the development and delivery of sponsorship driven initiatives and provide specialist advice to internal stakeholders on the strategic approach to events across Transport for NSW.
This temporary 12 month role plays a key part in ensuring continuity of delivery across sponsorship activations, public relations initiatives, events and partnerships.
In addition, you will
• Develop and deliver sponsorship activations informed by insights and business objectives.
• Coordinate and leverage Transport for NSW sponsorships and partnerships across marketing, event and communication campaigns.
• Manage the design, production and distribution of sponsorship and event materials, including editorial content and social media.
• Manage relationships with external creative and event agencies, ensuring compliance with procurement and government guidelines.
• Measure and report on the effectiveness of sponsorship and event activities.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver integrated communication plans and event activations.
• Act as a centre of excellence, providing best practice sponsorship and events advice.
• Build tailored and targeted campaign strategies that leverage sporting influencers based on fan behaviour, the sports media landscape and industry trends.
• Contract negotiation support with large rights holders for favourable terms and agreements on behalf of Transport.
Some of the projects you'll have the opportunity to work on include:
• Transport's road safety sponsorship portfolio (including Cricket NSW, Sydney Swans, Western Sydney Wanderers, NSW Rugby League, Wiggles and Venues NSW partnerships).
• Sponsorship and industry events (including Spring Cycle, Bus and Coach Expo, Boomtown, Sydney International Boat Show, Bstreetsmart and the Koori Knockout).
• Transport's New Year's Eve on the Cahill Expressway event.
• Transport's activation at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.

About you
You are a highly organised and proactive professional who thrives in a fast paced environment and enjoys working across multiple stakeholders.
You will bring:
• Demonstrated experience in sponsorships, events, marketing, communications or a related field.
• Strong project coordination and delivery skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience working with external agencies, suppliers and partners.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
• Sound judgement and the ability to work autonomously while escalating sensitive or high risk issues appropriately.
• A strong commitment to integrity, accountability and collaboration.
• A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
