Your day in the life of a Lion Sales Specialist

We’re looking for a commercially savvy, relationship-driven leader to step into the role of Sponsorship & Events Account Lead – Permanent Full Time based in South Australia.

Reporting to the WA Sponsorship & Events Leader, this role is responsible for managing a portfolio of high-profile key accounts across major sporting, racing and festival events.

You’ll play a key role in driving growth across the state by identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and delivering best-in-class sponsorship and event experiences that bring Lion’s brands to life.

You’ll also lead and support one direct report, an Activation Specialist, helping deliver exceptional on-ground experiences across a dynamic calendar of events.

What will your typical day involve?

  • Support management of industry body relationships
  • Manage sponsorship contract performance, re-negotiation, and issue resolution
  • Always be on the hunt for potential growth and development opportunities within current and new customers
  • You will be an absolute brand and company advocate – delivering growth through on-point and determined sponsorship & event execution
  • Work with and collaborate effectively as a part of the wider Sales and Marketing Team
  • Support and maintain the state sponsorship and event planning schedule and analyse ROI post every event and make recommendations
  • Embrace a continuous improvement mindset, creating an environment that demonstrates the ability to think differently and deliver on simplicity and sustainability

What will you need from day one?

  • You will be an agile and inspiring team member who is energised by achieving great outcomes for our customers and Lion
  • An ability to help shape future strategies with your ideas and your courage to challenge and try new ways of doing things
  • A collaborative approach and strong communication skills will see you partner with the sales teams to ensure alignment of key strategies
  • An ability to interpret and apply an understanding of key financial indicators to make better business decisions
  • Must have a full Australian Drivers Licence and the ability to tow a trailer
