We are seeking a Spok System Engineer to join our team and support our client. The ideal candidate is a dependable and detail-oriented systems engineer with experience supporting Apple-centered enterprise environments and critical communications technologies. This individual enjoys working in technically demanding settings, collaborating across teams, and helping maintain secure, reliable system performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support engineering and operational activities related to the Spok Suite and associated enterprise support environments.
  • Assist with system maintenance, troubleshooting, integration, and performance optimization for supported platforms.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to support secure, reliable service delivery and continuity of operations.
  • Contribute to documentation, technical standards, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Support lifecycle, provisioning, and configuration activities tied to enterprise endpoint and communications technologies.

Work Experience and Job Skills:

  • Strong experience supporting enterprise systems engineering, endpoint technologies, or Apple-centered support platforms.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, support integrations, and maintain stable system performance.
  • Experience working in structured enterprise IT environments with defined standards and support processes.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree is required. Preferred field of study in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field of study.
  • MBA/Master's Degree in a relevant field of study preferred.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:

  • Desired certifications may include Apple, mobile device management, endpoint support, or systems engineering certifications relevant to the role.

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written skills, ability to present proposals and performance data, comfortable interfacing all levels of organization.
  • Ability to write clear and concise creative content in a highly confidential manner.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Travel:

  • Local travel within a 50-mile radius of NIH Bethesda, Maryland is not reimbursable.
  • On occasion, travel may be required of Contractor personnel and, if approved in advance by the Contracting Officer, may be reimbursed in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.
  • Work may be performed at Government facilities, remote locations, or approved employee work locations in support of Government operations.

Environmental Requirements:

  • Mainly a routine office environment.
  • May be required to lift up to ten (10) pounds
  • Flexible in working extended hours
