Job Description

Responsibilities

  • · Administer and monitor Splunk
    environment across all environments
  • · At least (3) years working with
    distributed systems in a production Windows environment
  • · Experience using or supporting
    centralized logging infrastructure -Splunk
  • · Plan, deploy and document
    architecture components, monitoring & alerting setup, troubleshooting
    guides.
  • · Onboarding new data as well as
    new customers to Splunk. Work with new customers to ensure they are getting the
    most out of the data and help design new applications for their specific use.
  • · Test new versions and
    components in QA environment for promotion into Production.
  • · Mentoring other engineers
    within the organization on the capabilities and technical knowledge of the
    Splunk environment.



Requirements

  • · Bachelor’s degree in IT or
    similar
  • · At least (3) years Splunk
    experience building dashboards and performing analytical searches within the
    Splunk application.
  • · Experience with virtual
    technology, such as VMWare ESX. Experience with OS environment running one or
    more databases including SQL or Oracle desirable.
  • · Working knowledge and
    experience with key ITIL processes is required.
  • · Previous application
    development coding, debugging, testing and delivery into a production
    environment are highly desirable.
  • · A solid understanding of
    compute performance metrics and tools is highly desirable
  • · At least three (3) years of
    hands-on experience in IT systems administration on Windows.
  • · Requires proficiency in use of
    desktop based productivity applications, networking and open systems standards.
  • · Requires analytical and design
    ability, high degree of creativity; knowledge of the business implications of
    technical approaches, directions and solutions
  • · A good understanding of
    accessibility, web standards and best practices
