Job Description

The Spiritual Care Coordinator is responsible for providing a compassionate, non-judgmental presence that will invite openness, sharing, and the opportunity for a spirit of healing.

Responsibilities

Shows attention to those who are facing the end of life and provides bereavement resources to both residents and families. Assists with the education and orientation of staff and volunteers on the importance of spiritual care in health and healing. Coordinates the spiritual care activities at the community and supports the spiritual beliefs/practices of the residents and staff.

Qualifications

Qualifications Required

  • One (1) to three (3) years of active ministry in church or healthcare setting.
  • Understanding of the mission and ministry of the churches as espoused in the healing ministry of Christ.

Qualifications Preferred

  • Bachelor of Arts degree.
  • One (1) to four (4) units of clinical pastoral education (CPE).
  • Solid presence within the community and one’s own church.

$17.18 - $19.30
