Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide high-quality, patient-centered therapy services on a PRN basis. This role focuses on helping residents improve communication, cognition, and swallowing function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide therapy services per physician orders and care goals
  • Document evaluations, treatments, and progress notes in compliance with regulations
  • Supervise SLPAs, CFYs, and students as appropriate
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Participate in care conferences, utilization review, and discharge planning
  • Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy and maintenance programs
  • Conduct staff training and in-service education
  • Ensure compliance with state practice act and facility policies

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active South Carolina SLP license (in good standing)
  • Experience in skilled nursing or rehab setting preferred
  • Ability to supervise CFYs or students preferred
  • Familiarity with PointClickCare (PCC) and Casamba preferred
  • Strong clinical, documentation, and communication skills
