The Speech Therapist will provide services in support of the school’s educational program and student services requirements. Requirements: The Speech Therapist must have:
Must possess a Master’s Degree in Speech Therapy from an accredited institution.
Must possess a current State of New Mexico Speech Therapist License and certifications.
Must be able to work with students from diverse cultural and language backgrounds.
Duties:
Evaluate students for special education eligibility.
Identify speech, language, communication, learning, and literacy concerns.
Implement IEP services and provide direct in-person intervention.
Include compensatory service hours in billable time.
Conduct dynamic assessments and classroom observations.
Consult with teachers on instructional strategies and student learning needs.
Support pre-referral and academic/literacy intervention activities.
