Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Speech Pathologist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders in patients. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans based on assessment results.
  • Provide therapy to patients to improve their communication and swallowing skills.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families about communication disorders and treatment options.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  • Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in speech pathology.
  • Assess and manage patients with a range of communication and swallowing difficulties, including paediatric and adult populations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology or a related field.
  • Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a clinical healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
  • Demonstrated experience with relevant assessment tools and therapeutic techniques.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
