The Licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) provides progressive, individualized speech and language services that support meaningful communication outcomes for children served at our May Center for ABA Services in Randolph, MA.

Position Overview

Under the supervision of the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), the Licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) provides direct, individualized, evidence-based communication services that drive meaningful progress for children aged 2-12 with autism and developmental disabilities. Reporting to a Speech-Language Pathologist, this role collaborates with BCBAs, behavior technicians, Occupational Therapists, and Physical Therapists to implement and support speech-language services in a clinical setting. Through a collaborative, team-based approach, the SLPA helps ensure consistent, data-informed interventions that enhance outcomes and independence.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver speech and language services under the supervision of the Speech-Language Pathologists by providing direct speech and language sessions and participating in the evaluation and treatment planning process.
  • Facilitate and support AAC systems, ensuring effective use across settings
  • Train and coach direct service staff on the implementation of speech and language programs
  • Collaborate across disciplines with educators, BCBAs, and team members to ensure consistency in communication programming
  • Contribute to treatment planning under the supervision of the SLP, including goal writing, progress monitoring, and reporting
  • Utilize data to inform decision-making, supporting adjustments to treatment planning
  • Participate in applied research and continuous improvement initiatives

What You’ll Bring

  • Massachusetts SLPA licensure required
  • Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strongly preferred
  • Experience working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
